The museum houses two permanent exhibitions, where the first represents the rural heritage of Jordan and thus signifying the importance of the attachment to the past. This exhibition displays the real rural house and its objects in a way that the visitors experience the real way of life in Jordan during the past few decades. The second exhibition displays selected archaeological objects in a chronological order from the Paleolithic to the Ottoman period. This display tracks the cultural evolution of man over thousands of years on the land of Jordan.
